Privacy and Information Requests
TrueVoice Communications CC has appointed Lee Wilmus as its Information Officer in terms of the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Any requests relating to access to information, personal information, corrections, objections, or privacy enquiries should be submitted to privacy@truevoice.co.za.
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the TrueVoice AI platform and services. By creating an account, purchasing a package, subscribing to a plan or using the platform, you agree to these Terms.
1. About TrueVoice AI
TrueVoice AI provides AI-generated text-to-speech services, downloadable audio files, voice libraries, and selected managed voice services.
Certain services may include script writing, human voice artists, and production assistance.
2. AI Technology Disclaimer
TrueVoice AI uses artificial intelligence and third-party voice technologies.
Users acknowledge that:
- AI-generated speech is not perfect.
- Pronunciation, pacing, emphasis and tone may vary.
- Names, abbreviations and specialised terminology may not always be pronounced correctly.
- Voice output quality may differ between voices.
- Generated audio should always be reviewed before publication or use.
- Audio output is provided "as is".
TrueVoice AI does not guarantee that generated audio will always meet a user's expectations or requirements.
3. User Responsibilities
Users are responsible for:
- Reviewing all generated audio before use.
- Ensuring scripts are accurate.
- Ensuring generated content complies with applicable laws.
- Maintaining backups of downloaded files.
4. Intellectual Property
Users retain ownership of the audio files they generate.
TrueVoice AI retains ownership of:
- The platform.
- Software.
- Branding.
- Voice templates.
- Website content.
- Proprietary systems and workflows.
Users do not acquire ownership of voice models or underlying technologies.
5. Prohibited Use
The platform may not be used for:
- Fraud.
- Impersonation.
- Misleading or deceptive deepfakes.
- Defamation.
- Hate speech.
- Harassment.
- Illegal activity.
- Unauthorised use of another person's identity.
TrueVoice AI reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
6. Storage and Downloads
Generated audio libraries are retained according to the customer's package.
Users are responsible for downloading and maintaining copies of important files.
TrueVoice AI cannot guarantee permanent storage and deleted files may not be recoverable.
7. Subscription Services
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
Cancellation requests apply to future billing periods.
No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period.
Access continues until the end of the paid period.
8. One-Off Packages
One-off packages are non-refundable once audio generation has commenced.
Unused credits and storage periods are subject to package limitations and expiry periods.
9. Refunds
Because each generation consumes third-party resources and processing costs, refunds are generally not available once audio has been generated.
Billing errors will be reviewed individually.
10. Third-Party Services
TrueVoice AI relies on external service providers, including:
- ElevenLabs
- PayFast
- Cloudflare
- Supabase
TrueVoice AI is not responsible for interruptions or failures caused by these providers.
11. Service Availability
Although every effort is made to maintain service availability, uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed.
Scheduled maintenance, upgrades and third-party outages may temporarily affect service.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under South African law, TrueVoice AI shall not be liable for:
- Loss of profits.
- Loss of business.
- Loss of data.
- Indirect damages.
- Consequential damages.
Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer during the preceding twelve months.
13. Indemnity
Users agree to indemnify and hold TrueVoice AI harmless from claims arising from:
- User-generated content.
- Misuse of generated audio.
- Violations of applicable laws.
- Infringement of third-party rights.
14. Human Voice Services
Human voice recordings, script writing and managed services may be subject to additional turnaround times and requirements.
15. Force Majeure
TrueVoice AI shall not be liable for delays or interruptions caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including:
- Power failures.
- Internet outages.
- Load shedding.
- Cyber attacks.
- Third-party service failures.
- Natural disasters.
16. Suspension and Termination
TrueVoice AI may suspend or terminate accounts where fraud, abuse, chargebacks or unlawful conduct are suspected.
17. Changes to Terms
These Terms and Conditions may be updated from time to time.
Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
18. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts.
